HEAR HER SPEAK
She may be a rambler,
A chatterbox to some,
Do not think of her as dumb.
She has something to tell you.
Read between the lines.
Mixed in the noise of a quiet message of fear.
Listen closely to her dear.
She may be quiet, she may be meek,
At times she shrieks.
Regardless of what you hear, take the time,
Within her silence and music is a prayer.
She may not have much to say;
And then again she may
After all, this may be her last day.
The future has its highs and lows,
Tomorrow may be the last yesterday she knows.
So listen to her now.
Perhaps if you do.
She will never have to go.
