To them a poet makes poems
But Greece still uses the ancient meaning:
A poet is a poet
But a poet is also a maker
A cabinet-maker, epiplopoios,
Is a furniture poet
A winemaker, oinopoios
A wine poet
A shoemaker, hypodematopoios,
A shoe poet
A baker, artopoios
A bread poet
A poet, poietes,
Is a poem-maker
Glorious Greece is full of poets.
