GETTING UP IN THE MORNING

When you first see the light of day
Do you raise your voice and shout "hooray"
Or drop your hand again and lay
Content to stay there longer?

You'd like to sleep a little more
And catch the rest you much adore.
Since getting up is such a chore
Your will just must be stronger.

You set the alarm the precious night
Being late for work is such a fright.
You hope that things will go all right
Instead of going wrong.
