FOR JARROD

A child...

Brought into this cold world not of his own accord.
Brought here to face the challenge of a strange, new world.
Full of curiosity; so eager to harm
How the pieces fit together in this puzzle called life.

A child...

With a happy smile he brightens his mother's life as the
Sunrise brightens the day.
And in sadness his pitiful tears fall on his cheek
Like spring rain on a window pane.

So unaware of the sorrow and hardship he may someday see,
Living the life of carefree joy that only childhood can bring.

Oh, that they could all be children
For they are in the eyes of their Lord.
Then they'd not share a world of hate and malice
But a feeling of love toward all.
