EVERY DAY
When the darkness descends upon them,
The woods are dark and still,
The old hoot owl is hooting,
Along with the whippoorwill.
Now the birds have ceased their chirping.
The crickets sing their song.
Animals scurry through the bushes,
Till darkness comes along.
As the sun comes up in the morning,
It starts a brand new day,
Giving them a chance to start over
In a good joyful way.
So with a brand new beginning,
Let's show a happy smile,
It will help make the world much brighter,
As they tread each weary mile.
Then the sun soaks again in the evening,
Their day is almost done,
Let's still keep on smiling
As they turn their step towards home.
