EMPTINESS

Every morning she awakes stretches her arms out looks up
At the soft blue sky, and sees there is no sun.

She walks on the beach and smells the salty breeze of the
Ocean, but it has no life for there are no waves.

She hears chatter of people talking and her name is
Called out at times, yet when she looks back she sees
No one.

Every night the midnight sky shines with its majestic stars,
Yet it is still incomplete for there is no moon.

She touches the scars on her heart left by past loves
That just failed, but she can't feel herself.

Days come, Days go and time passes, yet nothing
Changes--for it's because she is empty inside.
