Echoes of silence fill the air,
A sudden rush of wind
Scatters the void sound.

A state of mind;
On the edge;
Silence.

Blurred visions of shattered dreams,
Torn heart;
Silence.

Staring into empty space, seeing nothing,
Numbness covers the skin;
Anger.

No special song is hummed,
No joyous memories;
Only echoes of silence.
Null and void.
Empty; yet hopeful of what might be.

Dreams swept away like stolen treasure,
Hidden so tactfully by the thief;
Left empty, numb...
Silent.
