EARLY SPRING DAY

What a nasty dreary day it is, rain is
Falling and the clouds stealing the brightness
Of the early morning skies.
Thunder sounding throughout the early morn, as
The brightness of the lightning flashes before your
Very eyes.
Only making you feel down because it's a waste
Of such a beautiful day, not being able to do
A thing or enjoy it on any kind of way.
As you sit inside looking out, daydreaming
About the sun and all the joy that it
Brings about.
As the rain and lightning gives and the
Thunder as the clouds slowly fade away.
The sun shines through, still quite early
Within the day.
The sounds of birds as they begin to sing,
Children laughing and playing as the rain dries
Up and they're able to enjoy the early days of
Spring.
