DOES IT MATTER AT ALL

Does it really matter
Or is this just chatter?
How come when everything is all right
Around the corner is strife?
Like the Oklahoma City bombing and a derailed
Train. Why do people go insane?
Then a hurricane comes one day and destroys
The beach where he used to play.
Perhaps he will find on some new day
Something else matters anyway,
Or does he live in a world that will soon
Topple itself and he'll he stuck on some
Shelf?
As dumb as it seems he may as well bring,
The end of his serenity. At least for today;
Does it matter at all?
