BRANCHES OF LIFE
Oh little tree, how magnificent you are.
But people underestimate you by far.
Today you might be small you see,
But years from now that will no longer be.
One of these days you'll be tall and strong.
And when that day comes, it won't take long,
For nature to realize what you mean to their earth,
And they'll all be glad for your undestined birth.
The birds you house will love you forever,
For times you've protected them from stormy weather.
You've given them shelter and a place to live,
There's not much more you could possibly give.
And so little tree, as you stand here alone,
Twist about how through years you have grown.
Stand tall and be proud, until the day you die.
And keep your arms reaching, toward the heavenly sky.
