BLACK LIKE HER

She is not real dark
Nor is her nose real wide
Her lips are nor thick
But on the thin side

Her "back's not stacked"
And her speech is not "street"
She's never robbed a liquor store
And never smoked weed

She pays all her bills
And her credit's not bad
His sister doesn't do crack
And she does know her Dad

She has no Be-Be kids
She is not on welfare
She's never had "gubment cheese"
Or killed on a dare

What she is, though, is black
And black she'll always be
All the stereotypes in the world won't change
That she is Black Like Her
