BLACK HOLES

Not merely a cosmic, galactic fear
But yet in hearts they do appear.
When love goes out in search, in need
And only returns unneeded, unfreed.

Into your heart, all matter rushes
Memories, love, concern; it all just crashes.
Behind is left but a cold dark room
Not a hint of love you hoped would bloom.

No comfort, nor laughter, nor intimate dealing
You're left with nothing; empty heart, no feeling.
So sad to spend such long hours, days, years
To build so little, ending in just tears.

The holes have grown so immense and dark
Since he tore his first love apart.
So callus and brash, uncaring he did act
Until all good and light was gone; only darkness was left intact
