Barnyard pickings...
Who noted that kernel of corn
Once deemed a mysterious religious symbol,
So mysterious that said corn had to be eaten
To protect some from the sacrilegious
Who would hide the corn within the ground
Producing such
That when the corn had germinated
And flowered and formed yet another cob,
Instead of only one little ear of corn to protect from
The uninitiated heathen
Lord Almighty, there's an entire field.
Quick, be fertile and produce more children
To eat that corn and protect the secret symbol
Of that divinely ordinated grain.
Barnyard pickings...
Such is the fate of all "secret" symbols.
