Why did he have to go away so young
You gave him to her to love and protect
How can his time so soon be done

He brought such joy into all their hearts
His eyes were filled with love and peace
May he bring to You that same special love
And won't You please make this pain soon cease

How does this fit into Your pain
Make her heart soon gain understanding
This all seems more than she can stand

Still she thanks you for blessing her with him
And giving her memories to last for all time
She'll forever cherish the love he brought
Always feeling his little body close to hers
