ANNIVERSARY OF GOLD

Through sickness, health, tears, and joys
And keeping track of girls and boys
Growing up but never old,
Earned them an anniversary of gold.

Loving, growing, listening, praying,
Correcting, helping, hoping, playing,
Laughing, waiting, teaching, crying,
Nursing, feeding, driving, buying,
Earned them a family of gold.

Staying together through times of trial,
Going again that extra mile,
Keeping the world full of love
Serving well their Lord above,
Earns them Heaven's halos of gold.

For fifty years, they've met the test
And still trod on with little rest,
They spread love where e'er they go
And she'd just like to let them know...
Her parents are worth much more than gold!!!!!
