AN AWAKENING

Waves of emotion washing over her
Awakening her soul. Her body responds warily,
She sighs in pain--
Awakening. She cries for physical relief,
Fighting the fatigue. Every ounce
Of her pushes along energized by
Sometimes deep in her soul. Fresh
And renewed her spirit carries her ever
So gently, whispering encouragements,
Loving words of strength. Her body painfully,
Skeptically, so slowly relaxing, trustingly
Accepting the miracle. She accepts the wave of
Emotions washing over her and she allows them
To carry her; she relaxes and finds solace in her
Spirit's strength. Waves of emotion washing
Over her and she finds strength in her soul
As she now floats passively on the sea of life.
Awakening to its truth and beauty.
