AGAINST

So you would at whim decide,
In thought or deed,
Or by word be unopposed?
Strange then how Fate,
With strange mind,
Lays angry at your door.
Great its strengths against,
The loudness of your wails.
With better mind seek reason,
Behind the strokes of fortune,
Acts of nature man that,
You continually contend.
Find within your contrary,
The learning hidden there.
Those who truly seek,
To run with turning World,
Easier hear the teacher,
When they themselves,
Do not be self oppose.
