Let them stop and take the time,
To help someone in need.
How vain and empty are great words,
If never backed by deeds!
Chances come, and chances go
They pass them by each day.
They close their eyes and care; with hopes,
They'll pass another way.
They look at plight, and snub their nose
And say, "They've made their bed."
They see the hurts, and smugly say,
"I need my daily bread!"
'Tis time they take their brothers' hand,
And show someone they care!
'Tis time they pray to Love above,
"Let action back our prayers!"
