A word--
Spoken in kindness,
Spoken in love,
Given as a gift.

Spoken as encouragement,
Spoken as peace,
Given freely.

A spark--
Lighting on the inside,
Hope and joy springing
Within the soul.

A simple word,
A simple kindness,
No thought but to uplift;
No effort but to speak.

That encouragement
Playing with emotions,
Building up self,
Uplifting the soul.
