A WIDOW'S CRY

Even though you've gone away
She thinks about you every day

The days they spent were oh so grand
She wishes they could play them all over again
Her days would have been emptiness
But you filled them with happiness

She knows the old saying that life goes on
But still there's a part of her that's holding on
The part that wants to love and care
And play those games that you declared

Maybe in a couple years
She will join you with no tears

But for now she stands
With flowers in hand

She drops them on your grave
And thinks of all that you gave

She seems to know even now
Their lives were meant to last somehow

So even if you hadn't gone away
She'd think of you every day
