Neatly wrapped in burlap, it came to them!
Lovingly they planted her, full in their finest view,
When her blossoms scent the Springtime breeze, Hattie, they'll think of you!

To add to her other charms, her fruit will feed the birds!
The very day they planted her, to welcome her in place--
A cheerful Blue-Bird circled her, and perched with gentle grace
Among her leaves, an omen fair, a Blue-Bird resting in her hair--
As if a future resting place, she might be planning there!
