A Mother's Heart is tightly woven
Of feelings known to her alone.
Love and patience spin the thread,
And build hopes and dreams unsaid.

This heart at times, tired and weary,
Knows loneliness, sorrow, and worry,
It feels the hurts her children share,
Asking why life is sometimes unfair.

In this same sensitive heart can be
Woven joy and pride and dignity,
For the caring, sharing, and giving,
Her heart achieves rewards they bring.

And so the years change to gold,
Those threads that time did mold,
Too strong to ever break apart,
For there is shaped a Mother's Heart.
