WINTER DELIGHT

The peacefulness of winter,
The lovely fallen snow,
Logs within the fireplace
Very much aglow!!
Marshmallows being toasted,
Grandchildren all around--
Their excitement and their laughter,
What a precious sound!!
The fire growing higher--
Imaginations soar,
Seeing animals and faces
Within the flames that roar!!
The fire growing dimmer,
Eyes begin to close,
Soon her darlin' children
Will be in sweet repose!!
