WHY SHE DREAMS?

Why, she wonders, why does she dream?
Sometimes when she dreams at night,
She wakes up trembling and full of fright.
So scared she sits up fast on her bed and
Thinks,
So scared to move or even wink.
But, then, she realizes the nightmare is
Over,
And she lies back down and she pulls up
The cover.
And on some nights she dreams so nice,
And they seem to be filled with sugar
And spice.
Some dreams she has to tell you her
Friend,
She never wants these dreams to end.
But when it finally ends you see,
It's still all just a mystery.
