THE SUN OF WAR

To go insane.
To feel the cold, driving rain.
To have a fast deep inside the grace.
Imprisonment of the insane.

Walking on the edge of hell.
Bombshells, trenches, abandoned buildings.
Dark, smoldering forests, sky of red.
Impalement of the dead.

Cold, sharp, driven pain.
Agony of death, dying in the rain.

Desolate river flowing far and wide.
To join the ghostly strangers on the opposite shore.
The sound of thundering, raging horses of darkness
Through time.
Coming to take you away across the ages of ancient war.

To enter the world beyond the door.
To lie upon a foreign shore.
The burning, fiery sun of war,
There is no more.
