THE MOUNTAIN TRAIL

There's a mountain range not far from here that's full of hills and trees
And trails that run along these hills, within a steady breeze

One trail there he traveled once riding his trusty horse
A horse that brought him safe thus far, along that mountain course

The trail was hard and ruthless and his horse would often slow
But even though they made it through his patience had grown low

They finally came to one steep hill that he doubted his horse would do
So he lost that horse eight where it was and looked for someone new

He found a horse not far away with eyes of fiery strength
And he was not afraid to take the hill at its full length

He loved this new horse with all his might and traveled for many a mile
But then they came to a steeper hill and he just sat there awhile

The steed then turned away from his with hatred in his face
And he was left standing there, alone in that awful place

But then he heard a galloping from somewhere far away
Like a knight to fight a dragon, his old friend would save the day

He ran right up beside him and greeted him with a way
Then he went on and faced the cliff and made it all the way

It was then slowly realized, in the mountain's purple glow
That friends are most important and that's all you need to know.
