THE FOUR OF RUSHMORE

Four faces of stone
Staring out over this great land.
Unblinking eyes of granite,
Searching out the great unknown.

Can you face their challenge
And still endure the trials,
Of time and mortal man?
Contemplate deeds, before you finally rest.

They are proud and patriotic
Throughout all actions, heed their words.
Brought forth from a mountain
To an imperfect world left behind.

Dreams built an independence
By justice and courage, of life and death
Creating a country, they stand united
Rejoice, the Four carved from Rushmore.
