THE FIRST SNOWFALL

The first snowfall was on a cold winter's night,
Where not a star in the sky was in sight.

The wind whistled loudly, as it blew through the trees,
And her heart repeatedly sang, "Snow Please."

Suddenly, there was a flash of light,
Lightening up the entire sky, big and bright.

Thunder followed with its crashing sound,
Making her heart pound!

There was nothing to do but wait,
As she peered out the window once again,
To see if the storm had come to an end.

The clouds had begun to pass by,
And she let out a loud sigh.

But then, the wind began to blow,
And drifting high and slow,
Fell the white snow.
