SCREAMING

She hears someone screaming in the night,
Screaming out of fright, screaming in the
Night!

She hears it coming closer, closer. It's right
Outside her window, screaming in the night.

She looks outside her window and hears the
Screaming more, but she sees no one, no one
Screaming in the night. She sees the trees moving
All about, she sees the snow blowing, blowing
All around and about.

Then the screaming is gone, gone to scream
At someone else, to wake them in the night.
