LOVE'S GIFT TO MAN

Trees that grow so tall and straight, stand before her at the gate
Swaying, rocking, to and fro, as to bend and say hello
E'er so gently in the sun, watch them closely as they run
Holding hands as though they're one

There could never be such trees, lovelier than what she sees
Standing oh so sturdily
Don't destroy their beauty please, with so frightening a disease.

Trees speak softly as do friends, never let their beauty end
Guard and guide them safely home, never, let them roam
Love and cherish trees so rare, let their beauty fill the air
Keep them ever in Love's care.
