LOOKING FOR TALENT

It must be great to have a talent--
To herself she has often thought;

Some beautiful painting in oil to behold,
A musical instrument to unfold;

A beautiful piece of furniture,
Sanded and fitted perfectly.

But maybe she also has a talent,
As she gazes in her children's eyes,

Is it a talent to see no hate, to teach
Love and cheerful attitudes,

In those youthful years--
These things may be taken for granted.

But as the years roll by,
They may recall this Mother's talent;

In their own children's eyes.
