BOSNIA

She lay there quietly during the night,
Drifting to dream, suddenly awakening,
To the horror of the war she had to fight,
And the disaster that the country was in process of making.

She had to warn citizens that the part won't lie,
There will be no replacement for family and friends,
She had to warn to world before the Soldiers were forever waved goodbye,
With little hope of ever returning home to mend.

Few will return, forever haunted with memories of murder and pain,
She knew she must inform the world that peace should remain,
Because this war has nothing left to gain,
Except millions of innocent lives to claim.
