A MOTHER

How can a mother be so uncaring
To leave her children for months at a time?
Their poor little hearts must've been tearing
But, they seemed to have made it just fine!...

How can a mother be so cold
To treat her son so unkindly?
But, he'll always remember when he grows old
That he did find someone who cares, finally!...

How can a mother be so cruel
To let her daughters run wild like a fool?
They could get pregnant or die of AIDS
Or get mixed up with drugs and their life just fades!...

How can a mother be so mean
To do these things, these things so obscene
She treats her son like a common peasant
His birthday even passes without a present!...

How can a mother be so unfair...
To have four children and not even care...
She just wants to use then for her own purpose...
And then when it's over, throw 'em away like surplus!
